Saltbox Grows When You Grow: New Saltbox Locations Open Nationwide

New locations, new opportunities. We’re EXPANDING! Saltbox started in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019, and our business has been growing and developing ever since. We’re already located in booming metropolitan areas such as Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, and LA Torrance. Our latest locations include expansion to Los Angeles, CA - Duarte and DC Metro - Alexandria this summer! Better yet, we’re expanding into markets such as Dallas, Texas - Carrollton; Miami, Florida - Doral; Minneapolis, Minnesota - Arden Hills; Atlanta, Georgia - Westside Park; and Phoenix, Arizona - South Tempe coming fall of 2022!

Expansion is always a good thing because it signals increased demand and growth. Besides that, it tells us that what we’re doing is working! But expansion isn’t only happening at Saltbox. It’s happening with our Saltbox members and other small business owners, as well! Because Saltbox was created to support growing ecommerce businesses with logistics and fulfillment solutions, our expansion is largely indicative of the success and growth of small businesses around the nation.

Small Business Expansion in 2022

Remember the “Great Resignation” of 2021? It’s when a mass exodus of people leaving their corporate jobs decided to start their own businesses and harness their entrepreneurial spirit. According to Intuit’s 2021 New Business Insights Report, 17 million new businesses are predicted to form in 2022 alone, a third consecutive record year for entrepreneurship.

Data shows that microbusinesses (defined as those with between one and five employees, with less than $50,000 in start-up capital) and other small businesses play a critical role in local economies, providing jobs and serving their community greatly. Collectively, these small businesses employ 41 million people with a $5 trillion economic impact, according to Erin Igleheart, program director of the Start: ME Accelerator Program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

But that’s not all! It is anticipated that most of the small business expansion this year so far has been sole proprietorships, with Intuit predicting 5.6 million of those new small businesses will either incorporate or hire employees, surpassing the 2021 record of 5.3 million. And we’re only a little more than halfway through the year!
